Most roofs we see are supported by timber: either rafters, manufactured trusses, or built-up trusses. There are different flavors within those as well: for instance, rafters may be supported with interior knee walls, bearing walls, and/or collar ties.
When the framing is made of metal, the required structural analysis is typically more in-depth. We will work with you to determine what information we will need, then to turn around your project as quickly as we can after we have it.
Sometimes the best option for your client is to create a new ground mounted structure. We have experience dealing with many major suppliers.
Unavoidably, there will be times that the jurisdiction questions something about the submittal. We will work with you to rapidly resolve these issues and keep your projects moving quickly.
In some jurisdictions, physical copies of the documents need to be printed and shipped with an engineer's personal signature and stamp. We will print, stamp, and sign them, then ship straight to your office.

You provide us with the project plans and site survey results: photos of the roof internal structure, measurements of the structural members, general photos of the building and the roof itself.
We review the received information and follow up with questions, if any. Otherwise, we start working on the analysis for the project and preparing your documents.
We complete the analysis and provide you with stamped plans and a PV Letter within 36 hours. In some rare cases, we may return to you with recommendations for a roof structure repair or a minor re-design of the solar panel array.
