Founder and Principal
Trevor is a licensed Professional Engineer in 50 states and territories. He brings over a decade of engineering design and analysis experience, including extensive experience in timber, steel, concrete, and masonry design. He founded PV Letters in 2021 and leads it today as its Principal Engineer.
Director of Operations
Cameron Bay serves as Director of Operations, overseeing the residential solar team, as well as project workflow, resource allocation, quality assurance processes, and automation across PV Letters' project portfolio. He has extensive experience leading teams and managing people. Cameron has worked in the solar industry since 2022, and has years of prior experience in the IT world.
Senior Electrical Engineer
Cat is a licensed Professional Engineer with many years of experience in solar PV. They are passionate about fighting climate change via transitioning the grid to renewable energy as quickly as possible. They hold an undergraduate Electrical Engineering degree from UT Austin, and MS/PhD degrees in EE from UC Santa Barbara. Outside of work, they love traveling and discovering new places around the world.
Director of Business Development
Michael Hart leads PV Letters' business development and client relationship efforts. He works closely with project developers, architects, and owners to understand project needs, scope appropriate engineering services, and ensure that PV Letters is positioned as a preferred engineering partner in all markets. In his previous career, he was a world-class executive chef, and has served dinner for the President of the United States.
Director of Administration
Isabel Casillas manages PV Letters' administrative operations, including contract management, licensing renewals, and internal systems. Her work ensures that the firm's operational infrastructure supports efficient, compliant project delivery. With a strong background in solar permitting, HR, and administrative support, Izzy brings care and problem-solving to the team's day-to-day. She is passionate about helping people, creating systems that keep things running smoothly, and contributing to fields that make a real impact.
Director of Finance
As PV Letters' Director of Finance, Samantha is responsible for overseeing the company's overall financial operations, including AR/AP, cashflow projections, budgets, and KPIs. After working in the industry and running her own bookkeeping firm, Sage Mountain Accounting, she joined her husband Trevor at PV Letters. Samantha earned her BS and MS in Accounting from Western Governors University.
Staff Engineer
David is a licensed civil engineer in the Philippines with first-hand experience in construction. He is the lead staff engineer for the PV Letters residential solar team. He brings deep experience in load calculation (IBC, ASCE 7), framing evaluation, AutoCAD drafting, and stakeholder coordination. His work supports solar installers, engineers, and permitting officials by delivering accurate and code-compliant engineering documentation.
Staff Engineer, EIT
Troy is a registered Engineer In Training. His background includes experience as a senior engineer, an architectural designer and draftsman, and a construction manager. His work on PV Letters commercial team allows him to put his broad array of skills to use every day.
Staff Engineer
Jeffrey is a Civil/Structural Engineer with a Master's in Civil Engineering, with a major in Structural Engineering. He has vast experience in structural design, analysis, drafting, and quantity surveying, and is knowledgeable in a wide range of structural codes and guidelines including UBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC, FEMA, BS, AS, Eurocode, IEBC, IBC, IRC, and NSCP. His careful focus and strong planning and design abilities allow him to deliver safe and code-compliant structures.
